Description
English: This is a peripheral blood smear of a patient with megaloblastic anemia. The red arrow points out a hypersegmented neutrophil. The image was found on a telepathvision site of the US VA: http://www.va.gov/telepathvisn6/megalops.GIF The home page of this collection of images is http://www.va.gov/telepathvisn6/index.htm The site, and assumedly, the image, was created by Paul Weisz Carrington, M.D. of the Richmond VA. Since the VA is a branch of the US government, it is assumed that derivative works like this image are in the public domain.
